Letter of Map Amendment Workshop

Mr. Samuels currently manages Central Missouri Engineering Services, LLC (CMES) in Ashland, MO, which specializes in offering National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) consulting services to local governments, lending institutions, private citizens, and engineering firms. CMES is very active with the preparation and submittal of Letter of Map Changes, the completion of the NFIP Elevation Certificates, and the presentation of five NFIP workshops in FEMA Region VII each year. Prior to starting CMES Mr. Samuels worked for six years as the Floodplain Management Engineer for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. Mr. Samuels has also worked for the City of Portland, ME and for private engineering/surveying firms in both Maine and Ohio. Mr. Samuels earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO in 1988 and is a registered professional engineer in the States of Missouri, Maine, Ohio, and West Virginia. Mr. Samuels is active in the Missouri Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association having served as an area director, chair of the legislative committee, and currently acting as the Membership Secretary for the association.
