Tom J. Cajka - County Planner - Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning
Tom Cajka has been with the Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Department since August 2001. For the last seven years as the County Planner. Before the planning Department, he worked for two years with Ross Engineering, Inc. and two years with Hanna:Keelan Associates, P.C.
Education: B.A. Urban Geography, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Jerry F. Penry, LS - Deputy State Surveyor - Nebraska State Surveyors Office
Jerry earned a degree in surveying from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, in 1985 and began his career working for several private companies in Lincoln doing all types of surveying and drafting. In 1997, Jerry began working for Lancaster County Engineering, developing expertise in boundary surveying, section corner recovery, and remonumentation. He is licensed in Nebraska and South Dakota. Jerry has written over fifty professional articles and eight books about his interests in surveying, railroads, and World War II. Jerry is a frequent speaker at surveying conferences and a contributing author to The American Surveyor magazine. He has been directly involved in several historical projects in Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota. His passion for surveying often takes him to the Black Hills and other locations, where he endeavors to find long forgotten historical monuments.
